Founded in 1982, the Art Deco Society of Washington is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to the preservation of the architectural, industrial, decorative, and cultural arts of the Art Deco era.

The Art Deco Society of Washington has led numerous efforts to save important Washington-area Art Deco architecture. The Society also offers members the opportunity to meet other Washington DC-area lovers of Art Deco at tours, cocktail parties, fashion shows, lectures, films, dances, and other special events.

Since its inception, the Society has held an annual show and sale of 20th century vintage clothing, furniture, housewares, and collectibles. Now known as the Washington Modernism Show, the show features dealers from across the country and even overseas.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Society currently holds its programs, including the 2021 Washington Modernism Show, online. The 2021 Modernism Show will be held April 23-25 in partnership with Ruby Lane, with an early buyers period beginning April 22nd. Costume Jewelry Collectors Int’l LLC (CJCI) is a global community dedicated to the study, enjoyment, and promotion of collectible costume jewelry. CJCI brings people together through conventions and social networking. We also fulfill our mission of sharing costume jewelry information and resources through our website free of charge.

CJCI does not operate as a non-profit entity, however, our online resources are made possible by generous donations from the collecting community. This includes keeping the RCJ Marks Guide online as well as hosting many other educational features pertaining to costume jewelry collecting. Many of these, in fact, have been contributed by our community members and we’re pleased to house their ardent research.

Since CJCI was founded in late 2009, seven weekend-long conventions have been held hosting attendees from around the globe. We no longer charge a membership fee but do encourage those who want to participate in future events to sign up for the CJCI mailing list through our website and to follow our page on Facebook. 

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we were not able to hold CJCI Convention 2020 as planned. It is our hope to reschedule the convention at a time in the future when it is safer for our community to travel and gather together again. The costume jewelry show and sale portion of the convention was hosted online by Ruby Lane in October, 2020.

The United Federation of Doll Clubs is a non-profit organization with the goal of being the foremost in research, education, conservation, collecting, and appreciation of dolls. Our Headquarters and Museum are located in Kansas City, Missouri.
