Sophisticated clear, colorless glass hexagonal cut panel vase decorated in grisaille and picked out in gold enameling.

This is a 17th century decorating technique that goes back to the Schwarzlot painting technique of Johann Schaper. Both Moser and Lobmeyr decorated in this style, (Lobmeyr as early as 1873). But, by 1888 Lobmeyr was producing its own attractive interpretations of the old Schaper glass adding gilding and sometimes engraving. Reference: J. & L. Lobmeyr, Between Tradition and Innovation/Glassware from the MAK Collection, Prestel.

Measures approximately 6.2 inches tallest. Good condition with no damage or restoration. Not signed. Polished foot. Ship standard size 12x12x12
