About Us

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with the elegance of fashions of past eras and for more than thirty years, I have pursued my passion for collecting and wearing vintage clothing and accessories. When I first started searching for these treasures, there was very little interest in this area of collecting and many wonderful items were destined for the trash pile! Sadly, many items were lost forever. But, times have changed and, fortunately, there are many collectors today who have a keen sense of appreciation for vintage fashion. It is very important to remember that fashion is a definite part of our history and most often reflects technological changes as well as social attitudes and may well offer our greatest opportunity to express our individualism. Wearing vintage not only makes one feel unique and special, it's, also, incredibly fun! It is my hope that this shop will be enjoyed by seasoned collectors as well as novices and will help to keep the love and preservation of Vintage Fashion alive and well!
I will be constantly searching for the very finest in Vintage Fashions and Accessories and presenting them in my shop for sale. All items for sale will be in very good to excellent condition as I am very selective in my purchases. I make every effort to describe the items for sale as accurately as humanly possible. I want you to be thrilled with your vintage purchase....but, remember, it is VINTAGE and most of the time has been worn and loved by someone else previously, unless otherwise stated. Even when items are "New Old Stock", the materials used in the garments are vintage. And, never hesitate to contact me with questions before your purchases or with inquiries about items you are currently searching for, as I may have that particular item in my inventory, but not yet listed.

I was a proud member of Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry(VFCJ) for almost twenty years and have also been a member of Costume Jewelry Collectors International(CJCI).

I am a member of The Costume Society of America and have pieces from my personal jewelry collection published in the new 4th Edition of Warman's Jewelry, Fine & Costume Jewelry by Kathy Flood. I maintain three booth spaces and a showcase in the Williamsburg Antique Mall in Williamsburg, Virginia and if you haven't visited this mall, you are missing one of the best antique malls in America with over 300 dealers!

As of March 15, 2011, I became a very proud member of Vintage Fashion Guild (VFG). I encourage all who are truly interested in Vintage Fashion to visit the website for Vintage Fashion Guild and enjoy all of the resources that this wonderful organization provides to the public and the trade.

In 1958, Size 16 would have been Size 8 by today's standards! A woman who wore a Size 8 in 1958 would have had these measurements:
Bust 31", Waist 23.5" and would have weighted 98 lbs.
So please bear in mind that when you see larger sizes in fashions of yesteryear, that sometimes is very small by today's standards and I will often mention this in the description of the size of a garment.
