• This is an exceptional, Victorian beaded bag in its original, vivid colours with an unusual grey/tan shimmering beaded background, which makes the floral colours richly stand out.
• The beautiful red roses and the blue daisy-like flower, with the green, veined leaves, all created in tiny glass micro beads, makes a very lovely, eye- catching bag. This design is repeated on both sides of the bag.
• It has an etched gold toned metal frame with an etched link chain handle. The clasp is a tight kiss clasp in the gold tone metal. The metal is in good condition, but the gold tends to be more silver in tone (this actually suits the bag more) but I suspect this is age.
• The bag is in good condition throughout but at the top, near the metal frame, some of the threads are a bit loose, and as a result, some of the beads are missing (photos show this). But frankly, one doesn’t even notice this.
• The green moiré silk interior is in excellent condition.
• This is a very useable bag. But it is both an heirloom and a collectors bag.
• It measured 6 ¾” wide (17cm) and 7 ¼” (18cm) high.
