Hilarious and charming bowl from Germany with crown and moon hallmark and 800 stamped in the front. The bowl is in overall good shape except for damage to one of the small lace petals that surround the bowl like a dainty border. It is on the right side at about 3:00, if the bowl was a clock.

Usually bowls like this might have boughs of roses and little cherubic angels. This bowl is unique because of the suggestive scenes in the design. You could serve teacakes or candy to your grandmother and every thing is prim and proper. But if you take a closer look you will see frisky Germans in springtime, enjoying the outdoors.

It may be the only one left around that is like it and has survived since the 1930's. I have not seen this design before. Maybe there are other pieces out there but I have not come across any.

It would be a delightful addition in a tea service and prefect to serve up candy or treats to your guests or a unique gift for a friend with a sense of humor that would cherish it dearly!
